#390: $PYTHONPATH should be configured automatically by the 'run' script when used with -i (install) ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Reporter: s.adam@… | Owner: wsanchez@… Type: Enhancement | Status: new Priority: 4: Nice to have | Milestone: Component: Calendar Server | Severity: Other Keywords: | ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ After unpacking & building calendarserver-2.4, I installed it to my machine via: DESTDIR=/opt/CalendarServer ./run -s -i "$DESTDIR" The installation itself works, however the 'run' script does not set $PYTHONPATH in the installed binaries as it does when running from the source directory. This results in Python errors when attempting to start the server from the new installation directory. This problem can be worked around by manually wrapping the caldavd binary in a shell script and setting PYTHONPATH="$DESTDIR/usr/lib/python2.6/site- packages:$DESTDIR/usr/lib64/python2.6/site-packages". Note - I'm on an x86_64 system... Changes from the previous version include: - Changed the baseGUID for NSS Directory service as the previous value was not being accepted. - Removed making prefix mandatory as guid collisions is now not posssible. - The new directory service architecture in calendarserver now uses shortName for lookup. Therefore no user and group should have the same short name. Hello Folks, playing with the iMIP functionality I discovered sn somewhat unpleasant feature of the calendar server: On sending an iMIP mail the Calendarserver inserts a token in the senders (and reply to) address. This is only OK as long as you have your own email server or have an provider that supports tagged addresses. Unfortunately the choice of providers that support tagged email addresses is somewhat limited. Is there a way to send / process calendar invitations without tagged emails ? Bye Goetz

hello, i have a calenderserver version -2.4 from apple running on a linux squeeze box and i want to know if is possible to enable WEBCAL(on caldav: when i click at the link http://example.com:8008/webcal it is shown the error:404 Not found..) and what it does? I wanted to ask also if there is a web php calendar client that supports caldav. Thnx, Lisa
