In twistedcaldav/directory/principal.py, line 53, it says: from twistedcaldav.authkerb import NegotiateCredentials authkerb.py will not run if kerberos isn't installed, as it will in turn try to import kerberos, which fails. There seemed little point in hacking on it since it has no purpose without kerberos, so I instead commented out the import in principal.py. This seems to work fine - the server appears to be fully working against iCal 10.6. The "right" fix seems barely more complex - as with ticket #352, stick it in a "try" block. It would be nice to get this fix in soon, since server installs of Ubuntu 10.04 (and quite likely some other distros) don't come with kerberos installed. Everything works fine, until i try to connect to the caldav server via SSL. Unencrypted connect is no problem, as is connecting to the CardDAV server via SSL. I finally had a chance to give the latest trunk (5266) of Calendar Server a try. Same server, but it had since been upgraded to Debian Lenny. I got the same error as listed in ticket 359 after the compile and launch: ImportError: No module named opendirectory I was able to get the server started by commenting out the following: twistedcaldav/static.py: from twistedcaldav.directory.principal import DirectoryCalendarPrincipalResource #from twistedcaldav import report_addressbook_findshared #setattr(DirectoryCalendarPrincipalResource, "report_http_addressbookserver_org_nsaddressbook_findshared", report_addressbook_findshared.http_addre\ ssbookserver_org_nsaddressbook_findshared) twistedcaldav/addressbook.py #from twistedcaldav.report_addressbook_findshared import getReadWriteSharedAddressBookGroups, getReadOnlySharedAddressBookGroups, getWritersGroupForShare\ dAddressBookGroup And doing a: mkdir data/Documents/directory This allows me to not only start the server, but to even log in with Address Book. However, I get the error: [carddav-throw] Unable to query user's address book home. I understand that there is no opendirectory on Linux, but there doesn't seem to be a way of keeping the server from trying to load that module. It adds a "principal" kwarg to authGSSClientInit() which gets stashed in the client state struct and used when gss_init_sec_context is called.
