This is my first stroll through Open Source, so please forgive my ignorance. I have things working close to the way I want them to work, well except for having a calendar that multiple users can add events to. I think that is a "wait for iCal on Leopard" issue. Of course that may all change when the users start reporting problems or feature requests. ;-) My question is about the location of the calendars and principals. Should they stay in the current test location inside of the twistedcaldav directory or be moved to the location indicated in the caldavd.plist (as opposed to the caldavd-dev.plist). If I deploy this to a server with the current locations will the next or any future builds retain that location or move things as needed? I'm hoping to deploy this at a school for use by 40+ teachers and staff and eventually open it up to the 900+ students. Thanks and Have A Great Day. Rick Davis thePRIMAXgroup http://applehelp.org

is python 2.5 supported?

I'm trying to install Calendar Server on an OSXS 10.4 system, which only has python 2.3. The current python is 2.5 though, so I was wondering if this should work as well as (the recommended) python 2.4. Can't get past Checking out Twisted....

The run script stops at the message below when I do ./run -s Checking out Twisted... subversion/libsvn_ra_svn/client.c:141: (apr_err=60) svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.twistedmatrix.com': Operation timed out if I retry the run script it get the same thing. I've looked at the run script and can point my web browser to the path specified. Not sure what the problem is unless twistedmatrix.com has their SVN turned off. Is that possible? Modifying entries fails with evolution-2.6 due to wrong etag

I need a copy of Leopard iCal for testing purposes with caldav. Any idea where I can get a testing copy of that. Intel Install

I have been able to compile and run the iCalServer on a G5 but when I try to get it to run on an intel based Mac I recieve the common error: "Unable to locate subversion base URI for sources." Kerberos Authentication

Hi, I had little luck setting up kerberos authentication with caldavd. All my experiments indicate that the authkerb.py isn't even being looked at. Any hints on howto make kerberos available as an authenticator to twisted? Cheers, -- Guido

Calendarserver Debian Packages available

Hi, Debian Packages for calendarserver are available at: http://honk.sigxcpu.org/linux-ppc/debian/calendarserver/ Much of the stuff there already found it's way into Debians unstable. So if you're running another architecture than ppc you can fetch the pykerberos and pyxattr packages from there. BTW: does anybody know how I can override the location where twisted is being installed from setup.py? Cheers, -- Guido

PROPFIND Error?

Hello: I have just started working with the iCalServer and almost have it working. I am using Chandler 0.6.1. The problem I'm running into is when I try to "Share My calendar"... in the Collection menu. I get the following error: Publishing collection to server... Sharing error: PROPFIND for /calendars/users/test/ failed to return resourcetype Any ideas on how to get around or correct this error?
