Does anyone know of any decent web-based CalDAV clients that work with CalendarServer? We currently have Leopard server's iCal Server running, and it works great for Leopard iCal clients, but we need, at the very least, to have shared resource calendars be read-write accessible cross-platform. Sunbird is not a good option, since if we have calendars for, say, 30 shared resources, Sunbird requires the user to manually set up a calendar for each one. Either a good cross-platform desktop client (without the above issue) or a web-based client with read-write CalDAV support would probably work for us. Thanks! Jan

Help with basic directory service authentication

Hello, I installed CalendarServer-1.1 (via svn) on a Fedora Core 5 Linux server, and I managed to get everything running after applying the patches mentioned in tickets #188 and #2110. I want to use apache htpasswd authentication for single sign-on integration with existing web services, but I cannot authenticate when I attempt to connect to the Calendar Server. I can access the main CalDAV listing, but attempting to access any calendars fails because the user authentication does not succeed. I tried to connect with Firefox 2.0.12 on Windows, and it did present me with an authentication dialog. My caldavd-dev.plist file points toward the htpasswd file, and it's readable. It's a valid htpasswd file, and I manually created a groups file. Are there other steps that I need to configure for the permissions beyond just the users and passwords? How do I assign permissions among calendars when using the basic directory service? The output is attached below. Any help would be appreciated. Migrating CalendarServer to new disk

Hi I'm running CalendarServer on FreeBSD and accessing via iCal. I've recently moved the OS to a new disk and although CalendarServer starts up fine I'm no longer able to see my calendars from iCal. iCal seems to authenticate fine with the server but my subscribed calendars just don't appear and there's no indication of any errors on the client side or in the CalendarServer logs. I've done a complete 'tar -cpf ..' of the CalendarServer directory from the old disk and extracted to the new one to make sure there are no permission issues. Any ideas as to what's going on or how I can better diagnose the problem? Thanks Gianni

Hello, I'm trying to get iCal server running on a Mac OS X Server 10.5.2 machine, that is also an Open Directory replica. The logfile keeps pooping this error: twistedcaldav.directory.appleopendirectory.OpenDirectoryInitError: Open Directory (node=/Search) has no /Computers records with a virtual hostname: **** I understand what it want's, but I don't understand how to solve it, and why this has no written explanation in the iCal manual. -- jacco

Linux crash on ./run

Hello, Im trying to get DarwinCalendarServer running on linux as per .. http://www.mail-archive.com/calendarserver-users@lists.macosforge.org/msg00… Managed to get everything to compile and run -s completes from fresh without errors... but ./run is giving the attached error and wont start. Not sure if this is the issue, but I noticed the following exception is shown in the traceback, but i can confirm that the ports listed in the config are not in use; exceptions.ValueError: an adapter (twisted.internet.protocol.ProtocolToConsumerAdapter) was already registered. Running Calendar Server with delegate

Hi, I'm currently testing Calendar Server. I downloaded, installed and ran the version 1.1 with success. I made some modifications in the configuration and in accounts.xml in order to have two users. Now, I'd like to know how is it possible to allow user1 to view a calendar owned by user2. Using iCal, I get an error because it can not get a list of the users. How can I do that ? Did I miss something at yesterdays iPhone SDK event? Was there any mention of OTA or push or anything from iCal Server to the iPhone?
