vCard / CardDAV support in DCS

Hi. I know that CardDAV is still not a standard, but Chandler/Cosmo already implements some parts. How difficult would it be to implement this in DCS? (estimates in month/person). I think the most important efforts are already done, i.e. vobject parses vCards (in some degree) and there are also REPORT implementation in the caldav part. Are there already any future plans? Invalid argument

Hi everyone, I had fixed this awhile back, but I can't seem to figure it out.... I downloaded the latest trunk this morning and have it installed in my webserver directory right now. It's running on a 10.4.10 box with OS X Server 10.4.10 installed and I can't seem to figure out the error, below is the log that I get, does anyone have any ideas? Also... I have tried to disable kerberos since I don't have that setup and running on my server, figure why add 1 more piece of complexity right? Setup for small group/family

Fell calserver users, I'm finally getting back to something that's been on my to-do list for awhile--setting up the cal server for my family to use. I know that there are at least a few others out there who do something similar, so I'm looking for feedback on how you've set it up. I'm trying to decide if I want to have an account--and, thus, potentially multiple calendars--per person, or if I want to have just one account with multiple calendars under that account. The advantage of the latter layout is that it most accurately mirrors what we have right now. Access control isn't a big issue, because right now it's only my wife and I managing calendars related to ourselves and other members of the family. The advantage of the former layout, though, is that it scales better for the future (when kids manage their own calendars) and allows more segregation of activities into different calendars. It also would allow for kids to be able to manage their own calendars, but not change those of the parents. I can manage the technical details pretty well on my own (so far), but am looking for feedback on the administrative side of things. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks! -cj --- Chris Cleeland

One .ics file per event being created

After quite a bit of playing around, I finally have CalendarServer running and both my iCal (Mac OSX) and Lightning (Vista64) reading and writing to the same calendar. The next part I am trying to implement is a web interface. I am trying phpicalendar, but it exepcts each calendar to have one .ics file. However both iCal and Lightning are creating one file for every event. Makes perfect sense, thanks! My only questions are what does the auto-schedule flag do, and how did you discover this? Is there a source of documentation I was not aware of? Sharing Calendars

After looking around in the archives.... I am led to believe the only way to share a calendar with another user is to create an acl file. But there currently is no tool/script to create the acl files (some have used Mulberry successfully). The only other way would be to give both users read/write access to all calendars by adding them as AdminPrincipals in caldavd.plist. Is this correct? How are ProxyRead And ProxyWrite used? Client library and admin tool

Hi folks, The CalDAV client library and admin tool I have mentioned before is now available on the open source site. <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/calendarserver/wiki/CalDAVClientLibrary> This will help people do basic command line management of XML directory files, as well as proxy/delegation setup. It can also form the basis of more sophisticated admin tools that people might need. Delete Default Users?

Is there a way to delete all of the default users in Darwin Calendar Server? I have it all setup and running on CentOS 5 using the Maxime Wacker instructions, but I can't seem to get rid of "user 1-99", etc. If I delete these directories from my data directory, they just repopulate. Unless I am reading my accounts.xml wrong, I don't see anything that should create those users. Any ideas? Are those not deletable for a reason? Are these users stored in an sqlite database somehow? If so, is there a way to get them removed? I saw some info regarding various admin utilities, but I couldn't seem to get any of them to work on Linux (syntax errors). Using SVN checkout from 3/31/08. If I am hopelessly wandering in the wrong direction, please help steer me back on course! Thanks!
