Hello, I am working on a CalDAV free/busy client and I am running into a '500 Internal Server Error' I'm guessing it's not a permissions issue since I am doing a free/busy lookup on my own account. Maybe the dates are a problem? :-) How does the calendar server handle out-of- range requests? How can I query the range? I've included the iCalendar data and the server log with the exception at the end of this email. This is the latest SVN build. The iCalendar data looks like... Build fails in libevent

FYI, For some reason the config scripts now seem to be forcing a '-m64' flag on the libevent build. I think this fails on 32-bit gcc installs. I don't know if removing this broke anything... Best regards, Kervin

Implementing OpenDirectory Autocompletion in LDAP

I am writing an LDAP directory module that works with the CalenderServer-1.2 branch/tag. It is based on the appleopendirectory.py module and python-ldap. Right now it has some very basic functionality - but does work. One of the main features I would like to get working is the attendee auto complete. My question is, what is iCal looking for when filling in autocomplete information? Is there a particular attribute that I need to add to my ldap server? Also, if anyone would be willing to give me an Opendirectory ldif of a user, location, group and resource it would really help me out with this project. Thanks, Brandon

Cal Server : "error: cannot run C compiled programs" on OS X 10.5 (Intel)

Hey all, I just signed up for the list because I'm having an issue installing Darwin Calendar Server on OS X 10.5 (intel). Next I did a google search for the string "error: cannot run C compiled programs." but returned nothing that seemed to apply. I'm pretty lost and hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. Any help is appreciated, Cliff

twisted cannot listen

I am new to this list, and could not find a way to search the archives, so please forgive me and/or point me to a past thread if I am re-hashing old news. I've set up calendar server (employing advice from Tony Rush's blog) and things worked great for a few months. Then at the end of April, it stopped. I haven't dealt with this because our first child joined us in early April, and some priorities have shifted... The only thing that may have changed is, perhaps, an update to Leopard from Apple. After the recent update to 10.5.3, there was no sudden re-enabling of the Calendar Server, for which I had illogically hoped. It appears that twisted is looking to listen to an address that is already in use. Any advice is much appreciated. Importing ICS files

Hi all, I've been searching for an answer to this question on the website, and also using Google, but couldn't find an answer. I'm using the Calendar Server (not for the web interface, only for iCal) provided by Apple in Leopard Server (10.5.3). Is there any way that you can, using the commandline (I want to make a launchd script out of it), (regularly) import .ics files into caldav, so that the calendar becomes available to people who are using iCal, with a CalDAV account ? The reason I want to use it is the following. We have two servers: 1 using CalDAV, 1 using the old ICS/WebDAV system. Now I want to synchronize an .ics calendar between the two servers (it is only updated on the ICS/WebDav system). Is there any other solution for this (without using Google Calendar).
