Hi... I am having problems running the server as a daemon process... it works fine when running in the foreground (i.e. using "./run") Here is what happens... $ ./run -d Building PyXML... One thing that does concern me is the header comments in the 'run' script, which are as follows: # WARNING: This script is intended for use by developers working on # the Calendar Server code base. It is not intended for use in a # deployment configuration. # # DO NOT use this script as a system startup tool (eg. in /etc/init.d, # /Library/StartupItems, launchd plists, etc.) # # For those uses, install the server properly (eg. with "./run -i # /tmp/foo && cd /tmp/foo && pax -pe -rvw . /") and use the caldavd # executable to start the server. ## This is very different to all the other instructions I have found detailing how to get it running.... How can I configure my server to authenticate by using LDAP

My LDAP server's IP address is 192.168.178.7. Must I configure node parameter by using "/LDAPv3/192.168.178.7"? And how about search base and bind dn? How can I configure it? The document didn't explain about these. This is my caldavd-dev.plist file about open directory. <key>DirectoryService</key> <dict> <key>type</key> <string>twistedcaldav.directory.appleopendirectory.OpenDirectoryService</string> <key>params</key> <dict> <key>node</key> <string>/LDAPv3/192.168.178.7</string> </dict> </dict> Is it correct? If not, please correct it and add configuration about search base and bind dn please. thank you

ClientAdmin Tool Library

I have installed the CalDAVClientLibrary tool in my CalendarServer folder, but when I try to run it (or try to use the GUI), I get an error that the Kerberos module is not installed. I am not using Kerberos. Do I need to use it to get the tool to work? is there anything else I could be doing wrong? My goal is to set up delegates which, to date, I have survived without. Iphone OS 3.0

Hi Everybody! Im a new in here! I try to set my iphone caldav account and my test is was positive. I use the debian lenny and the calendarserver.deb packages. After set the caldav account on the iphone ical, i can write to the calendarserver a new event. The already events on the calendar not sync to my iphone. I found a little settings on my iphone (i change a plist file content) and now can i use full access to the calendarserver, and all event on the calendar syncronised automatically. Working perfect. Has anybody any other sollution full access? / or im a first pioneer. :-) / Anybody try the newer version of calendarserver ( for example from svn source ) with the iphone OS 3.0? Possible Bug in iCal

Hi, I'm using calendarserver from Ubuntu intrepid with iCal 3.0.7. I think I found a bug in iCal: I'm using kerberos for authentication. When I add two calendars (In my case one personal and one group calendar e.g.) and my kerberos ticket is expired, then I am asked for the kerberos password. This is ok. But when entering it in the sencond calendar asks once more. I can cancel this and as there is a ticket available a refresh works. I do not think that iCal should ask twice Georg

multiget limit on a large calendar not enough

Hi everyone, i am trying to use a large (7000 Entry) Calender with Sunbird. It works fine with iCal but Sunbird seems to initialize the newly configured calender with one multiget command. It fails with an error: 2009-06-13 09:24:01+0200 [-] [caldav-8443] [-] 'Too many results in multiget report: 7014' I tried to simply change the limit in twistedcaldav/method/ report_multiget.py max_number_of_multigets = 10000 That gives me the following error: 2009-06-13 12:50:49+0200 [-] [caldav-8443] File "/usr/lib/python2.5/ site-packages/twistedcaldav/sql.py", line 246, in _db_execute 2009-06-13 12:50:49+0200 [-] [caldav-8443] q.execute(sql, query_params) 2009-06-13 12:50:49+0200 [-] [caldav-8443] sqlite3.OperationalError: too many SQL variables Well, that looks like a sqlite limitation. I cannot find out how to change that limit. On the other side, i tried to find out, if it is possible to tell Sunbird not to use the multiget. Seems not an option. Any Ideas how to get around this? Address Book Server

It looks like the Address Book Server in Snow Leopard is a separate service from the iCal Server. Will the Address Book Server be open sourced like its companion? Is the iCal Server web interface as described in Snow Leopard separate, or part of Calendar Server? Thanks, Pim
