Dear all, I am preparing a server based on OmniOS (kernel illumos), let’s say the successor of OpenIndiana (OpenSolaris) and I would like to offer CalDAV/CardDAV to the users. I chose calendarserver because the users use iOS, OS X, Android. Event not being put in calendar

Hi, * I user calendar server with default configurations * Config has two users : *admin* and *wsanchez* * Using Thunderbird client and connection to my local server, I created an event as "*admin*" and invited "*wsanchez*" * Then I connected to server using *another* client with account "*wsanchez* ". * But I do NOT see the event in "wsanchez" calendar. * Please see the ics file generated when "admin" created the event. Please help me understand this. Login with ß in username

Dear all, I got a user with a german last Name with the character "ß" in it. The user can't login with iCal. The error log shows a strange sign instead of "ß" When I try to login trough the webbrowser, it works fine and it also writes the right sign into the logs. Does somone know how to fix this? Is this a problem with ical or is this a calendarserver problem? Thanks Ulrich Fourier

Error connecting

I'm running calendarserver now as part of 10.9.5 with the server add-on. It's been working great up until I added two new users. I can't get the two new users up on iCal at all, they just throw unknown errors. And I've been having odd errors now with the existing users - delegates that had been working are now throwing errors and one of the workstations can't connect at all on port 8008, even though we're on the same LAN and no firewalls are running. I'm thinking of reinstalling Server again to blow it all away, but I hate to loose existing calendar data. What's the process for backing up and restoring with OS X Server?
