Hi Scott, Thanks for following this all the way to its conclusion. I'm not sure there's much we can do about it (especially given that 3.x already has a workaround for this issue; implemented for other reasons, but it will also apply to this), but it will be good to have a record of this if future users have the same problem. -glyph
