I recently got back to try this again; I updated everything again by running ./run -f. The problem continued. I then looked at the configuration files again and tried replacing my copy of caldavd- dev.plist with the latest caldavd-test.plist. Things appear to work again. The wrong user name and wrong password cases you describe are not bugs; those are expected.
Agreed. I included them mostly to show that other things _were_ working.
