BasicDirectoryService authentication failed
Hi I am on Gentoo Linux with the latest svn plus the patch from http://trac.calendarserver.org/projects/calendarserver/ticket/188 The problem is I can't autheticate: 'Authentication failed: Incorrect credentials for <BasicUserRecord[users@915bea1e-048e-5795-9080-f326c90db467(Test Realm)] bdde0be3-d622-5914-8e77-0830e4fa613b(user) None> Only test:test works but it doesn't have permission to view anything (Could not find the principal resource for user id: test) I thought BasicAuth will work :( what is happening? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/BasicDirectoryService-authentication-failed-tp16037720... Hi, Sorry I can't help with your problem - I'm also a Gentoo user, but I haven't installed Calendar Server yet. I clicked on the Trac link you gave, but I don't understand what this patch does or is for. It gives the description "Basic directory service under Linux" - is this to allow you to run Calendar Server without installing a separate LDAP server? I'm sorry it won't help me solve your problem, but could you possibly please explain? So I understand for my own installation in a month or three. Many thanks, Stroller.
