I'm guessing that this is either a transient problem, or you are on a network that is blocking the svnserve port. -wsv On Sep 26, 2006, at 3:25 PM, Thiessen Mark wrote:

Hi, I'm not sure why there's been no activity here... basically I'm hoping to get this working on FreeBSD. Looking through the archives it seems like noone has yet done this. To try one needs: - <http://sqlite.org/ - RHEL 3 - <sys/extattr.h> API. And some various other things..... Is this realistic? Has anyone succeeded yet? Would anyone on this list be prepared to try package this, for a fee? Sincerely, Alan --------------------------------------------- Alan Levin Tel: +27 21 409-7997

Since the webpage has been gone for over a month now I've got a growing feeling of doom about macosforge. This list has been dead quiet and I've still been unable to get Tiger OD integration working. :( Josh -- Josh Wisenbaker, ACSA http://www.afp548.com Breaking my server to save yours.

I'm afraid the top-level macosforge.org site is unavailable right now, however the calendar server Trac site is up and running: <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/calendarserver/wiki>

We (Apple) are busy doing lots of work on the server as you can see from the Trac timeline. I'm afraid we've not had time to go back and look at Tiger OD integration. It should be possible to do with the appropriate schema but we will have to ask the OD experts as to the right way to get the CalendarPrincipalURI in there such that it will be recognized. Note that if you want you can change the server code to use a different attribute - one that you can set. -- Cyrus Daboo
Hiyas, I am signed up on the other Calendar Server mail lists, just thought I would thank you guys for the recent updates. I am in the process of testing Calendar Server as a replacement for Meeting Maker, so far it's looking very very good. -- Richard Smith xplora@wak.co.nz On 27/10/2006, at 3:53 PM, Cyrus Daboo wrote:

Thanks Cyrus, You might want to consider putting the old front page back up. The rumblings in the geek community at large is that Apple is giving up on opensource and they often point to the missing page as proof. Josh- Thanks for the reminder. It a bit out of our hands, but we'll turn up the pressure on getting this resolved. As Cyrus mentioned, the Calendar Server's portion of Mac OS Forge is still up an running, and we're actively maintaining it. -wsv

I assumed you guys were really busy.

Ahh yes. I had asked a question about this in the past.
""" Attribute names from Directory Service. """
attrRealName = "dsAttrTypeStandard:RealName" attrGUID = "dsAttrTypeStandard:GeneratedUID" attrLastModified = "dsAttrTypeStandard:ModificationTimestamp" attrCalendarPrincipalURI = "dsAttrTypeStandard:CalendarPrincipalURI" attrGroupMembers = "dsAttrTypeStandard:GroupMembers"
(Clipped from dsattributes.py in the PyOpenDirectory folder.)
And when you add schema it's dsAttrTypeNative.
Since I'm a sysadmin, not a coder, I'm a bit stumped now. Can I just change the attributes in the above file and then re-run the setup.py in that module? I can throw together AppleScript Studio or a bash script just fine, but Python is new to me.
I don't need you to change it for me, just let me know if I'm on the right path. Thanks, Josh -- Josh Wisenbaker, ACSA http://www.afp548.com Changing the world one server at a time.
