Apple has released several releases since 1.2, the latest being 2.4. Whether it will solve your speed problems I don't know.

Your problem is for Debian to package a newer calendarserver. I don't get why you can't use the PostgreSQL backend for davical but it seems to be a separate problem. /Peter
