I've just found your project on the Web, but from the description pages is not clear if darwinbuild can be used to compile the whole Darwin operating system so to obtain an installable image. Since Apple doesn't distribute a binary CD (Darwin 8.0) is a problem to install it on a computer, other projects based on this operating system are almost disappeared from long time (OpenDarwin and GNU/Darwin), so the solution appears to compile everything but seems not to exist any document about the procedure (the only I found is largely outdated...) and proceed blindly is a painfull task.
