Would it be possible to direct stdin to the keyboard to enable interactive daemons, e.g. for entering the password of an encryption tool.

This would allow to use truecrypt to encrypt the home folder, swap, /tmp, ....

im not sure if that's possible, launchd programs are launched before your GUI launches.
