Hi all, I've created a ticket (#11436) for libsexy, which is another library that provides a set of useful Gtk+ widgets. Since it compiles cleanly on OS X, there isn't anything in the Portfile except the hashes of the source file :) http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/ticket/11436/ Best Regards, -- Anant

Hi i would like to become a Developer/Contributer to macports how do i get started? In other words how do i find out which projects are not being done by someone or should i just look over the current projects and see one i like or should i just submit my own thing to you guys and see if you like it and want to include it? I know you are still transferring over from darwinports but i can't seem to find any documentation on either of the two sites that gives specific instructions to people who want to become part of the team. Any help would be appreciated thanks a lot.

Perl still at 5.8.8?

I notice we're still at Perl version 5.8.8 which is over a year old. Are we sticking at this version for a reason, or is perl 5.9.4 in the cards? - Jordan

Good day to everyone! Well, the quoted message below pretty much says it all, I created a 1.4 branch for our next release so we can start testing rc's. The way I see it, there's only a handful of documentation updates left to include, which we can commit to both trunk and the branch, so I'd say 1.4 is pretty close now. Thanks to all those who've worked on base as of late, producing a good number of bug fixes and improvements comprising this release! To all those wishing to hack on base, please consider trunk now open to your hearts content (though it was never officially closed ;-). Feel free to play with it but always in a civil manner, moving to a branch of your liking any commit that might break things too badly for everyone else. Other than that, hack away!
