move to correct location, hopefully
Actually, correct location is where the file was when you first committed it ;-) Distfiles are located in user specific dirs for distfiles belonging to ports they maintain or, in the case of nomaintainer, in the general dir. But you maintain slib so the distfile should be in your personal distfile directory. Regards,... -jmpp
Added Paths
distfiles/slib/ Removed Paths
distfiles/mas/ Diff
Copied: distfiles/slib (from rev 27511, distfiles/mas)

But MacPorts has this URL as fallback directory for every port. Therefore it is in the right place as the report about slib on the users list [1] shows. | ---> Fetching slib | ---> Attempting to fetch slib3a3.zip from http://swissnet.ai.mit.edu/ftpdir/scm/ | ---> Attempting to fetch slib3a3.zip from http://swissnet.ai.mit.edu/ftpdir/scm/OLD/ | ---> Attempting to fetch slib3a3.zip from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/slib | ---> Attempting to fetch slib3a3.zip from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/general/ | ---> Attempting to fetch slib3a3.zip from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/downloads/slib | Error: Target org.macports.fetch returned: fetch failed | Error: The following dependencies failed to build: slib slib-guile16 | Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. Now it will be fetched from there without changing the Portfile. Rainer [1] http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/macports-users/2007-August/004852.html

Yes, true. But still, mas is the maintainer of slib and it is our policy to put our distfiles (for ports we maintain) in our own distfile directories. Fetching from /distfiles/mas is as simple as listing "macports:mas" as the master_sites entry for the port. We can change that policy if we find something better, of course, I'm not opposing improvements. I'm just advocating consistency, as long as we have a policy lets stick to it ;-) Regards,... -jmpp
