Dear list, in Debian there is a popularity contest. Debian users submit their list of installed packages on a voluntarily basis once a week. I think most of the reaction was against the idea that this would be on by default or some implementation details. Having said that, I think the one big lacking thing is someone with time who wants to bother to implement it. -- Daniel J.
