Out of curiosity, why not "version 2.6.1-rc1"? Is there a MacPorts base bug you're working around by using this made-up version number?

Because when 2.6.1 final comes out with a '2.6.1' version number, it'll be less then '2.6.1-rc1'. Regards, Blair -- Blair Zajac, Ph.D. CTO, OrcaWare Technologies <blair@orcaware.com> Subversion training, consulting and support http://www.orcaware.com/svn/
