oh yeah, good catch. It's a nomaintainer port, so feel free to fix it (I won't have a chance to look at it until tomorrow or later).

You need to change the dist directory for example using:

dist_subdir ${name}/${version}_${revision}

Here I go again: the guide needs to have a section on stealth upgrades and how the port maintainer should handle them.
