Can we get resolution, if only by reverting the port to version 2.5.1_2, quickly. I have a ton of ports that depend, indirectly, on python 2.5 and the installations for all of them are crapping out on python 2.5 (version 2.5.1_3). mww should comment since he's the maintainer of python25 and his commit r31298 seems to have caused the problem. I added a note to the ticket that it compiled ok for me on Intel so maybe it's a PowerPC problem.
