How does one submit a portfile?
Hi, I'm rather new to macports and I'm wondering how one would submit a portfile. I've updated my portfile for AWStats to install the latest stable release (v/6.7). -- Rene

You should create a Trac ticket (and a Trac account if you don't have one) and attach a diff of the portfile to the ticket. If it doesn't get noticed you could ping the list. http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/wiki Mark

I've created an account now but I don't seem to be able to attach files. Can one just paste the diff using the code-function? - forgot to send it to the list ... -- René

Create a new ticket in Trac, attach the portfile, Cc yourself, inform this list of the ticket number and someone will commit it.
