I get a brief flash of the startup screen, then it disappears. I get the following message in the x11 terminal. Building libstemmer in can be done by fetching http://snowball.tartarus.org/dist/libstemmer_c.tgz, extracting it to the sphinx source directory and adding the --with-libstemmer configure flag.
