This is why gtkmm20 is a separate port... Also, the problem appears to be that the Gtk+ API has changed at some point. It's not supposed to, but I guess the functions in question were considered to be "private" and therefore not subject to the strict rules otherwise imposed on updates to the Gtk sources (generally, no-one is allowed to change function interfaces.)
