There's no maintainer, but maybe someone wants to land this? This is because "filemap" in Pextlib.dylib is a case-insensitive function, so {{{ filemap set testmap "/A/Apple_Terminal" "casetest" filemap set testmap "/a/appleII" "casetest" puts [filemap list testmap "casetest"] }}} show "/A/Apple_Terminal /A/appleII". (Note that path 'a' of 'appleII' was touppered !) To fix this, you have only to substitute 'strncasecmp' with 'strncmp' in src/pextlib1.0/filemap.c . I guess that this fix make little influence to case-insensitive users, then expect that it is applied for our case- sensitive users. Output towards at the end of the build is: ---> Installing xfig 3.2.5_1 ---> Activating xfig 3.2.5_1 Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error: /usr/X11/lib/X11/app-defaults already exists and does not belong to a registered port. Unable to activate port xfig. Warning: the following items did not execute (for xfig): org.macports.activate Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. Let me know if more is needed. Finally I did 'port install xfig', which built ok. There was a problem with app-defaults: ---> Activating xfig 3.2.5_1 Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error: /usr/X11/lib/X11/app-defaults already exists and does not belong to a registered port. Unable to activate port xfig. Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. which I manually corrected by adding the Fig and Fig-color files to app- defaults folder manually. When I run xfig, I can draw lines and pull down the Help menu, but if I pull down he File or other menus, it crashes: xfig color = '#ffcccc' xfig3.2.5: SIGBUS signal trapped xfig: figure empty or not modified - exiting Abort trap It sure looks to me like a library version skew problem. The build process doesn't give any errors, everything installs fine. Unfortunately the resulting binaries fail to read any TIFF file, the same is true for applications that depend on libtiff like ImageMagick. The error looks like this: {{{ $ tiffinfo the_image.tif the_image.tif: Not a TIFF file, bad version number 10752 (0x2a00). }}} There seems to be no extensive test suite, a 'sudo make check' in the MacPorts build directory just yields: {{{ [...] make check-TESTS PASS: ascii_tag PASS: long_tag PASS: short_tag PASS: strip_rw ================== All 4 tests passed ================== [...] }}} When I build the 'tiff' port without the +universal variant, everything seems to work again (although there are some warnings): {{{ $ tiffinfo the_image.tif TIFFReadDirectory: Warning, the_image.tif : unknown field with tag 34858 (0x882a) encountered.
