Apple has yet to respond to my Radar bug report. I've pinged them again to request a comment. @gravydish: Thanks for the hint on working around this. They stemmed mostly from trying to remove sections of code no longer present in 2.4.3. I attached a patch to the gtkdocklet-quartz.diff from the "files" directory of ports/net/pidgin/. This causes a conflict if p5-xml-regexp is installed, then an attempt is made to install p5-libxml-enno. I am still a newbie; can someone let me know how cases like this are best handled?
