I see that cairo has been upgraded to 1.7.4 and the old version may have been moved from the repository. I am not familiar enough with the ports system to make any required changed to my own system manually to allow the upgrade to continue. Uninstall and reinstall subversion-perlbindings Install p5-svn-simple (and git-core +svn which is what lead me here) Move the libsvn_swig_perl files back in /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib (or else git svn won't work). I would like to repoen this bug because this should be really straightforward and touching the /usr/lib directory feels very un-Macports like. I based it on the one submitted by tru in [comment:4 comment 4] but made lots of changes, including upping the version from 0.4 to 0.5, adding a mess of dependencies on things with which xmms2 linked on my system, and explicitly naming the plugins and optionals we want enabled (to prevent it from linking with other ports the user might happen to have installed).
