I compiled several other ports in between, one of which compiled libxml2. When I then came back to vlc, it now compiled fine. However, when trying to install coq (dependent on camlp5) there is an error message about a missing file gramlib.a. Some lines may be lost (and messages therefore re- retrieved), but operation will continue, with the corrupt lines logged.
