Checked in command-line: gnc-fq-check results are ok, echo '(yahoo "CSCO")' | gnc-fq-helper returns error message: {{{Undefined subroutine &Date::Manip::ParseDateString called at /opt/local/bin/gnc-fq-helper line 219, <> line 1.}}} Re-installing the Date::Manip Perl module (using Webmin) solved the issue for me. In the process some required modules (for Date::Manip) seem to have been installed: "Test::Inter" and "YAML::Syck". I have tried installing the dependencies in different ways in different orders, etc. I have tried installing packages individually and uninstalling, cleaning and not. xfce4-panel fails every time. This is similar to tickets [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/15945] and [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/24944] What about setting up a directory of backward compatible PC files without this -fopenmp switch? Under Mac OS X 10.4.11 with Xcode 2.5: ---> Extracting libpcap ---> Applying patches to libpcap ---> Configuring libpcap Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: configure failure: shell command failed (see log for details) Log for libpcap is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_net_libpcap/libpcap/main.log Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. Per Ticket #12949, checked /usr/include/net for bpf.h file and it does not exist. Downloading and installing manually does not produce any joy, as at least one file that should exist after installation is not there: libpcap.a.dylib (not libpcap.A.dylib). Fix your errors. #2: Error: /opt/local/bin/port: port selfupdate failed: Error installing new MacPorts base: shell command failed (see log for details) WHAT LOG? WHAT .... LOG? Very NOT-helpful. Again, fix your %&*($)%#(* errors. #3: Warning: Xcode does not appear to be installed; most ports will likely fail to build. YOU ARE A LIAR - I do in fact have XCode installed. WHY would it appear in spotlight if it werent installed?? Seriously, get your brains together AND REPAIR THIS, this thing is a POS. If by some chance, I have done something wrong, how about doing some better development on your upgrade strategy. For example, try NOT to SCREW OVER people who have been using ports for a longtime without incident. For God's sake , put some more helpful errors in your code so we know WTF do to instead of having to Google the issue for hours. I've patched the Portfile so that it sets a -I and -L flag for the compiler.
