The packaging has been tested by other users on x86_64-apple-darwin10 but still needs to be tested on i386-apple-darwin*. The changes in the packaging involve... 1) Remove any attempt to 'force' the code generation to m64 because this breaks the multilib build. 2) Add the proposed config.guess patch to eliminate any need to explicitly pass the triplets on x86_64 10.6. 3) Add the patch from PR41180 to avoid the linker bug in darwin10, where static libraries created with 'ranlib -c' don't properly have duplicate symbols ignored, by removing the redundant code from the linkage. 4) Add the RedHat --disable-libjava-multilib to reduce the length and size of the build. 5) Re-enable the multilib build on powerpc-apple-darwin* since the build time will be reasonable now. 6) Add the recommended configure options of... --with-arch=nocona --with-tune=generic --build=i686-apple- darwin${os.major} --host=i686-apple-darwin${os.major} --target=i686-apple- darwin${os.major} on i386 darwin* for best performance (as recommended by Mike Stump of Apple compiler group). -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/21341> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

It fails for me still. I'm using sudoers from /etc/sudoers, and /var/run/sudo is there, so that is not the problem either. As far as I can see, it's looking for libmlgsl.a which is provided by the package ocamlgsl. The orpie source file has that library but it doesn't seem to link correctly. My solution while creating more dependencies, works very well. It'd require ocamlgsl and because it modifies configure.in, it'll need autoconf to build a new configure file. Currently there appears to be no way to specify an "OR dependency"... like... depends_lib port:jpeg || port:libjpeg-turbo So is the correct way to fix this to change... depends_lib port:jpeg to... depends_lib path:lib/libjpeg.dylib which would then pass the dependency check for any Port that installed this library. FUSE for X., meanwhile, is actively being developed and just released OS X FUSE 2.6 a few hours ago. http://fuse4x.org is a dead site but the pages are available on http://fuse4x.github.io. In Lion, Apple switched their Kerberos implementation from MIT Kerberos to Heimdal. However, MacPorts' /opt/local/bin/kinit is still MIT Kerberos. As a result, keys created by /opt/local/bin/kinit are not visible by /usr/bin/klist, whereas keys created by /usr/bin/kinit are not visible by /opt/local/bin/klist. In order to smooth Kerberos authentication, I propose that cyrus-sasl2 depend on the Heimdal port on Lion and later. This will make it so that MacPorts programs can use the same credentials cache as Apple's kerberos utilities. My proposal would consist of three patches: 1. heimdal: change prefix from ${prefix}/libexec/heimdal to ${prefix} and add a conflict with kerberos5 2. kerberos5: add a conflict with heimdal 3. cyrus-sasl2: kerberos variant depends on kerberos5 on darwin <= 10, and heimdal on all other platforms As I have conceived them, these three patches would have to go through at the same time. Right now, I will attach just the cyrus-sasl2 patch.
