This may result in a nonoptimal selection when a port is built on one computer and then installed on another. This is very common now that we have a buildbot automatically building and distributing ports. Instead the port should have "fast" and "small" variants. The port can then select one of these variants based on the amount of installed RAM. Googling, I came across http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev/201009/msg00231.html where one reads "CMake is using -bundle rather than -dylib/-dynamiclib to build the asn1 plugin, probably so that it'll work even on versions of OS X where you can't dynamically load an MH_DYLIB." AFAIK, that's a moot point since OS X 10.3 (or at least 10.4). I cannot decide whether a modification of the corresponding cmake formulas is something MacPorts can do during an installation, but it is possible. Live recording works without incident. Scheduling a new recording never takes place and generates no errors. Other scheduling (metadata lookup) occurs. Log is attached. This also occurs identically on mythtv fixes/0.26 (installed using osx- packager.pl with minor modifications). Log is attached. This does NOT occur on fixes/0.25 or fixes/0.26 (binary from sourceforge) with an (almost) identical configuration on the intel box. Log (fixes/0.26) is attached. Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Maybe there is just some noob misconfiguration that I'm missing but I'm entirely stumped. Thanks.
