(My processor is intel core 2 duo.) I am running Mavericks 10.9.1. I think the problem stems from the fact that openmpi include files are in the /opt/local/include/openmpi-mp/ subdirectory. An incarnation of that can be seen in #38744. A far as I can see, we have to options: ping upstream on this issue and hope for them to resolve the bug, or rewrite texi2dvi (and possibly other tools?!) to use "gsed" instead of just "sed". I thought I'd post the Portfile I am using to do the test builds here, so it might be useful when preparing the actual port once 3.8 is out. Currently I do not have access to Mavericks so testing on Mavericks is particularly welcome.
