The GUI works quite well except for the editing shortcuts in the command line window: No cursor keys are working, i.e., editing the current command line has to be done only using backspace and delete. A command from the history has to be done using the mouse. I suspect something goes wrong with loading the readline configuration. Unfortunately, loading explicitly a minimal ~/.inputrc using readline_read_init_file() does not help. After upgrading it to 3.4 and 3.5 I have been unable to use it. When I start the program the window opens, the "Tip of the Day" is shown, along with a small window reporting finding new items is complete and took 00:00:00 seconds. Then the program hangs and the spinning ball appears. No thumbnails are shown, nothing is possible. I have followed all the instructions I know of: {{{ sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus- session.plist launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/org.macports.kdecache.plist }}} The only port I have installed is digikam and its dependencies. So one fix would be to use c99. However, I think it's unreasonable to force all ports that want to use gnutls to switch to c99. Therefore I think gnutls should be fixed to support c89 again, as gnutls 3.1.x did before.
