I was attempting to install afflib to work with sleuthkit, but it will not build. Additionally, we might consider an upgrade to afflib version 4, although it is not clear from the website if that version is compatible with sleuthkit 4 or not. I updated the version and checksums, added a livecheck, and fixed a spelling matter. However, the port does not build, and gives a large number of errors like {{{ info:build error: garbage collection is no longer supported }}} I am not sure what the next step is to fix this. I checked that if I try to rebuild my currently installed 2.5.0 it also fails in the same way, so I believe the issue is not the newer version of LaTeXiT but rather an intervening update to XCode. I currently have version 5.1.1 on OSX 10.8.5. On my Mavericks, I face the issue describe in various places (http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/111197/runaway-distnoted- process, https://discussions.apple.com/message/24709817#24709817) the current version of Emacs causes distnoted to eat a lot of CPU (100% of a core), and a lot of RAM (1.5GB+). Someone posted a patch here: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/8553178 According to this page, this very patch will be part of 24.4. In the meanwhile, it would be really nice if MacPorts' emacs-app could apply the fix locally.
