#45737: dbus +no_root deleted my root account on MacOSX 10.5.8 ------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: newchief@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.2 Keywords: | Port: ------------------------+-------------------------------- Although installation of dbus with +no_root use flag ended with error message that +no_root should not be used on my system, still actions were taken! my "System Administrator (root)" user with uid 0 was replaced by "Message Bus (root)" with uid 503. As a result, I couldn't do "sudo" anymore! Apart from shell commands that require root, all other system administrative operations seem to work. I deleted "Message Bus (root)" user from list of users being logged as my usual user (which is Administrator of this system). Now sudo says there's no root user entry in password file (well, root IS listed in /etc/passwd file, but I guess it is not where MacOSX keeps user info). It replaces certain of the standard Qt binaries (like qmake) with links to itself, and then uses configuration files and (optional) arguments to determine what version of the binary in question is called. Thus, with qmake a symlink to qtchooser > qmake --version # prints the version of the default Qt installation > qmake -qt=4 --version # prints the version of the Qt4 installation > qmake -qt=5 --version # prints the version of the Qt5 installation What's missing are the configuration files that will determine which Qt goes and is expected where, though I have given an upbeat by assuming that'd be ${prefix}/libexec/qtN . It implements all the processing chain from raw samples of GPS or Galileo signals to the computation of position and time, and can work either with raw samples stored in a file or in real-time with suitable radio frequency front-ends. This port comes in three flavors: port gnss-sdr -> This port is kept up with the GNSS-SDR release, currently 0.0.5, which is typically updated every few months. This version compiles against the gnuradio port, which represents the current GNU Radio release. port gnss-sdr-devel -> This port is kept up with the GNSS-SDR GIT ’next’ branch, which is typically updated daily to weekly. This version of GNSS- SDR generally contains fixes and new features that will be incorporated in an upcoming release, and compiles against the gnuradio-devel port, which represents GNU Radio GIT 'master' branch. This port may or not compile or function correctly, as it represents a work in progress. If it does not work, check back in a few days. I have the following hdf5 installed: hdf5 @1.8.13_0+cxx+gcc48+openmpi+szip. The difficulty is that openmpi puts headers in the subdirectory /opt/local/include/openmpi-gcc48, so when I try to build py27-h5py I get: In file included from h5py/defs.c:241: In file included from h5py/api_compat.h:27: In file included from /opt/local/include/hdf5.h:24: /opt/local/include/H5public.h:61:13: fatal error: 'mpi.h' file not found # include <mpi.h> ^ 1 warning and 1 error generated. I would think the problem could be avoided by either defining CPPFLAGS appropriately or by using mpicc for compilation. My system info: OS X 10.10 Xcode 6.1 clang: Apple LLVM version 6.0 (clang-600.0.54) (based on LLVM 3.5svn) Installed openmpi: openmpi-default @1.7.5_3+gcc48 (active) openmpi-gcc48 @1.7.5_3+fortran (active) Please let me know if you need any more info.
