It introduces support for Qt5 (and is "somewhat prepared" for a future appearance of KF5 in MacPorts) through a subport. Support for GTk2 is moved to a subport too, to avoid a combinatorial explosion of variants. Thus: - QtCurve still provides KDE4 and/or Qt4 support - qt5-QtCurve provides Qt5 and in the future also KF5 support - QtCurve-gtk2 provides GTk2/X11 support I named the subports in line with what seems to be usual, i.e. a prefix for Qt5 and a suffix for GTk2. qt5-QtCurve was tested with my own "concurrent" Qt5 install but ought to work just as well with the exclusive qt5-mac version currently in MacPorts. The pkgconfig requirement is {{{ libmypaint-gegl >= 1.1 }}} It appears this requires GEGL >= 0.3 so building with this functionality will require babl-devel, gegl-devel as well as gobject-introspection. I'm not sure how to debug to provide more info to track down what's happening but I'm happy to help if you have time to guide me through that. I am running Mac OS 10.11.4 on an iMac with Xcode 7.2. I installed MyPaint version 1.2.0. There were no error messages. Steps that I took: 1/ Installed MyPaint application to Mac. 2/ MyPaint application was successfully installed via MacPorts into my Applications folder. 3/ Clicked the MyPaint application, it began to bounce in the dock but the program did not open. 4/ After a couple of bounces MyPaint eventually closed itself and the application icon disappeared from the dock. 5/ I tried to reopen MyPaint and got the same results each time. This widget relies on the GLX_ARB_create_profile extension to create core profiles. Current versions of xorg-server, xorg-server-devel and XQuartz do not seem to include support for this extension resulting in an error message when attempting to set up the widget. As an example, try running the OpenGL Area demo in gtk3-demo (installed by port gtk3). Instead of rendering interactive OpenGL graphics, the message "The GLX_ARB_create_profile extension needed to create core profiles is not available" appears in the widgets drawing area.
