 Some packages (outside of macports, perhaps) depend upon the single
 precision version of plplot. It would be useful if a 'single' variant
 could be added to the plplot Portfile, e.g.:


 bash$ tail Portfile
                             -DTK_LIBRARY=${prefix}/lib/libtk.dylib
     configure.args-append   -DPLD_xcairo=OFF \
                             -DPLD_xwin=OFF \
                             -DPLD_tk=OFF \
                             -DENABLE_tk=OFF
 }

 variant single {
     configure.args-append   -DPL_DOUBLE=OFF
 }
 bash$
