#28698: llvm 2.8 buildroot leaky --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: howarth@… | Owner: erickt@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.9.2 Keywords: | Port: llvm --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment(by mfeiri@…): Maybe I understand this wrong, but I don't see how this can apply to us in general: We don't include the build root in the llvm package any more. Other ports are expected to use their own "make" infrastructure. And, yes, even the clang port uses a separate build root. An upgrade from llvm2.7 to llvm2.8 within macports might be the only way to trigger this bug, right? Several months have passed since this upgrade and I think I checked various upgrade scenarios without noticing any issues. Did you really observe this issue? PS: We have seen linking issues in the past and worked around these issues by using the "install_name_tool" in a post-destroot phase. Maybe this masked/solved the effect of the problem you describe? -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/28698#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
