The instructions in section 2.2.1 of the current MacPorts guide ("Install Xcode on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion") could be updated to include Xcode 4.4, as that is the version currently available from the Mac App Store.
I have verified on a brand new Lion installation that the instructions in section 2.2.1.1. for Xcode 4.3 which install the command line tools still apply to Xcode 4.4.
Logic would dictate, then, that the section heading "Install Xcode on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion" could also be updated to include 10.8 Mountain Lion, though I am unable to verify this at the moment. This goes for the wiki as well; I have duly updated the wiki ProblemHotlist page (https://trac.macports.org/wiki/ProblemHotlist) with as much as I'm able to verify about Xcode 4.4 and OS X Lion.
