#35341: Xcode not found when user directory is not on main drive -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Reporter: mjcohen@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: base | Version: 2.1.2 Keywords: | Port: -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Changes (by macsforever2000@…): * keywords: xcode and ports on different drives => * component: ports => base * type: request => defect Old description:
I have my user directory on a different drive than the OS (10.7). xcode installs without any problems and I can start it.
I downloaded the 10.7 installer and it seems to run OK.
When I run sudo port -v selfupdate it runs OK.
When I run sudo port upgrade outdated every package gets this message: Warning: Xcode does not appear to be installed; most ports will likely fail to build.
xcode is in Macintosh HD/Applications and my user directory is in mce/mjc
What do I need to adjust to have ports know where xcode is, and is there anything else I need to do?
Thanks
