Not to dogpile, but I really need the log file to figure out why you use 'gcc' instead of 'clang'
@vince, nothing in the provided information suggests MacPorts is using gcc; the user merely tried to run `gcc` on the command line (which on Mavericks is probably a symlink to `clang`) and supplied it with an invalid argument, so naturally it produced an error; that has nothing to do with why MacPorts failed to build the port.
