#29540: p5-http-date port submission --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: brian.gupta@… | Owner: l2g@… Type: submission | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.9.2 Keywords: | Port: p5-http-date --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Changes (by ryandesign@…): * owner: ryandesign@… => l2g@… * status: assigned => new * cc: ryandesign@… (added) Comment: I've attached a revised portfile with these changes: * use valid maintainer (nomaintainer) * add required long_description variable * remove extract.suffix and master_sites lines because their values were the defaults * remove md5 checksum which I consider obsolete * add "supported_archs noarch" since this port installs no architecture- specific files * use consistent formatting Remember that cpan2port is not a foolproof one-step make-a-perfect-port tool. It's merely a first step you can use to get a rough beginning of a portfile, and still requires you to understand and employ portfile writing best practices. I am not committing this yet, because p5-libwww-perl currently provides this module. The effort to upgrade p5-libwww-perl to the new version that comes as separate ports including p5-http-date is covered by #28865. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/29540#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
