Comment:

 I do not get a crash when running the example scripts on the above web
 page. I just get errors presumably because I am not running a gearmand
 server.

 Is anybody still seeing this problem with the current versions? If so
 please report the problem to the developers of gearmand; it doesn't sound
 like a MacPorts-specific problem.
