#48652: JRE installation dialog when updating cmake -------------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: bruce@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Keywords: JRE, Java, dialog | Port: cmake -------------------------------+-------------------------------- See also ticket [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48651 48651]. When updating cmake on a Mac without Java installed, the user is prompted with an apparently parentless GUI dialog to install the JRE. The dialog says, "To view this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment." with "More Info..." and "OK" buttons. I'm not sure if a +java variant makes as much sense here as it would with gettext, but either way it would be nice not to have unexpected Java installation dialogs while updating ports. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48652> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
