#27353: selfupdate failing, perhaps a user account issue? ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: bwoods@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: base | Version: 1.9.1 Keywords: | Port: ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Comment(by bwoods@…): I tried chown-ing recursively from the /opt directory to both root and my local username to no avail. The machine I am using is part of a corporate network, but the accounts are created locally. After the accounts are created, IS changes the user id number to match the company unix accounts so there are no problems on the NAS servers. Other than that, the numbers mean nothing to me. With that said, they said they re-chowned everything and the numbers would have been changed before macports was installed. The macportsuser field appears to be commented out but would otherwise be root. I installed from a downloaded image, not source. As for accounts, there are a total of 3: myself, an IS Admin, and a guest. This install is only about 2 months old, so I am not sure whether or not selfupdate has worked before on this computer. I know I had previously run selfupdate, but don't explicitly remember applying a new version. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/27353#comment:4> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
