#50992: MyPaint @1.2.0 Application will not open -------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: b8a9d72c@… | Owner: ryandesign@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.4 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: MyPaint | -------------------------+-------------------------- Comment (by b8a9d72c@…): Replying to [comment:3 ryandesign@…]:
Have you installed py27-pyobjc-cocoa? If not, do:
{{{ sudo port install py27-pyobjc-cocoa }}}
See #48849.
I have done what you advised and installed py27-pyobjc-cocoa. Now when MyPaint attempts to open (icon bouncing up and down in the dock), X11 also attempts to start. However I get the following error message from X11: ''An error occurred while starting the X11 server: "Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running". Click Quit to quit X11. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.'' If I click Quit the process automatically and continuously repeats itself. If I then force quit MyPaint to get it to leave the dock, I am able to force quit the application. However, I cannot quit nor force quit X11. It just keeps on trying to open. I think I might have to shutdown my computer. I noticed a patch in #48849 do you wish me to install the patch? Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/50992#comment:4> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
