 I added
 {{{
     xinstall -d ${destroot}${prefix}/share/doc/${name}
 }}}
 to the post-destroot stanza and that seems to have worked.

 This is the py25 subport (although that shouldn't matter) on Mac OS X
 10.5.8 on a MacBook Pro Intel.
