#41973: Add "enable-ec_nistp_64_gcc_128" variant to openssl? --------------------------+---------------------- Reporter: jlg@… | Owner: larryv@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Port: openssl | --------------------------+---------------------- Comment (by cal@…): Debian always enables this on amd64 machines, and so should we, I think. Debian doesn't seem to care about the license difference, so they apparently assume it's compatible with the OpenSSL license terms. I think we should enable this for all machines that support `__uint128_t`; should we just check `$build_arch` for `x86_64` and enable it for this architecture? I also don't understand why the patch adds the variant to the default variants if it is already enabled. Larry, what do you think? -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/41973#comment:8> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for macOS
