#48675: kde4-kile: Associating with .tex files for opening a file by double- clicking --------------------------+--------------------- Reporter: theufman@… | Owner: nicos@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: kde4-kile | --------------------------+--------------------- Changes (by ryandesign@…): * owner: macports-tickets@… => nicos@… * milestone: MacPorts Future => * keywords: file association => * type: request => enhancement Old description:
I am not able to associate Kile in OS X to open .tex files by default. If I try, two things occur:
1) The change in program association cannot be changed on all files of the same type: (10813 error code)
2) When I click on the single file with the association changed, Kile will open, but the clicked file will not.
If I use the command prompt in Terminal, I can pass a filename in as an argument and Kile will open the file.
In short, the question I have is this: is it possible to open a file with Kile by clicking on it, rather than either using the command prompt or opening Kile and then using File -> Open?
