#46764: mod_perl: obsolete outdated/unmaintained port, not compatible with perl5.16+ -----------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: devans@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Port: mod_perl | -----------------------+-------------------------------- Comment (by devans@…): Replying to [comment:1 mojca@…]:
Which also makes `p5-libapreq` useless, right?
That's what I meant to say (typo).
Unless there is someone who really needs this port and is willing to
take maintainership and make it work with current perl versions, I see no point in carrying it further
I fully agree.
Ryan wanted to keep support for Apache 1. Ryan, are you still willing to
take over these three broken ports (`apache`, `mod_perl`, `p5-libapreq`)? mod_perl, p5-libapreq are not a requirements for keeping Apache 1: they are optional extensions. I have no problem keeping Apache 1 as long as it works. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/46764#comment:3> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
